1. Who we are and what this covers
Everything Oz is an initiative of The Regulation Collective (“we”, “us” and “our”). This policy covers the Everything Oz website, its free interactive taster, waitlist and story submission form. It describes the current website, rather than features advertised as coming soon. A future app or new service may have additional privacy information.

2. Information we collect
- Waitlist: your name, email address, the audience option you select, and the date and time you join. A record identifier is also created.
- Stories: your name, where you moved from, how long you have lived in Australia, when you learned the lesson, your lesson, experience and advice, and your permission for the story to be considered. We also record a submission identifier, submission time and review status. The current story form does not request an email address.
- Website operation: our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, which may include IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps and request results. Operational and error logs may be retained to investigate faults or abuse. Please do not put personal information in a website URL.
- Enquiries: if you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to include, together with correspondence needed to answer your enquiry.
We collect form information directly from you. The current website does not ask for passwords, payment details, identity documents, visa records or precise location. Please leave sensitive information and other people’s identifying details out of stories and enquiries.
3. Playing the taster and using cookies
You do not need to provide a name or email to play. Your selected answers and score are held temporarily in your browser’s page memory. The taster does not send them to our submission database or save them in cookies or browser storage. Reloading the page clears your progress.
The current website does not include advertising trackers or a separate visitor-analytics script. Cloudflare may process technical information or use necessary security technologies to deliver and protect the site. Opening a source link takes you to another organisation’s website, where its own privacy and cookie practices apply.
4. How we use your information
We use waitlist information to manage your interest in Everything Oz, send the launch and testing updates you requested, and understand the audiences interested in the service. Joining the waitlist is optional and is not required to play.
We use submitted stories to review experiences, identify useful learning topics and consider material for future content. We use enquiries to respond to requests, and technical information to operate the site, investigate errors and prevent misuse. We may also use information where necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
We do not sell your personal information. The current website does not send your quiz answers or form submissions to an AI service to generate responses, and does not enrol story contributors in the waitlist automatically.
5. Your story and publication permission
A story submission is stored for review, not published immediately. Permission to consider a story is not permission to publish it. We will obtain separate approval of the proposed story and any attribution before publishing it. Without that approval, we will not publish an identifiable submission.
Because the current story form has no email field, we may be unable to contact you about publication. You can contact us separately if you want to discuss your contribution. Do not add private contact details to the story text. You may ask us to withdraw an unpublished story from consideration.
6. How information is stored and protected
The public website uses HTTPS to protect information sent between your browser and the site. Waitlist and story submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1, a database accessed by the website’s server. Cloudflare documents automatic encryption of D1 data at rest and encrypted connections between the website server and the database. See Cloudflare’s D1 data security information.
The public website does not provide a page or API for visitors to read submitted records. Administrative database access requires authorised Cloudflare account access or credentials. The form service validates required fields, limits submission sizes and uses parameterised database queries. These measures help protect information but do not make an online service risk-free.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. If a security incident affects personal information, we will assess it, take appropriate steps to contain and address it, and notify affected people and regulators where required by applicable law.
7. Service providers and overseas processing
Cloudflare provides the website hosting and database infrastructure. The database was reported in Cloudflare’s Oceania region when this policy was prepared, with global database read replication disabled. This is not a commitment that information stays only in Australia: there is no Australia-only storage restriction, and hosting, security, support and related processing may involve overseas locations.
Cloudflare is a US-based provider operating internationally, including in the United States. Its relevant service locations and subprocessors may change. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its information-handling practices. We will identify any additional providers and relevant overseas arrangements before introducing materially different processing.
Information may be accessible to the people authorised to operate Everything Oz and providers assisting with those services, where needed for their role. We may also disclose information with your permission or where required or authorised by law. We do not make the waitlist or unpublished story database public.
8. How long we keep information
Waitlist and story records are stored in our database to manage launch interest and review contributions. The current website does not automatically delete records after a fixed period, and we do not specify a fixed retention period for all submissions.
You can email info@regulationcollective.com to withdraw your interest, withdraw an unpublished story or request deletion. These requests are handled manually. Where information is no longer needed for its purpose, it will be deleted or de-identified, subject to legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Limited records may need to be retained to honour an unsubscribe request or document permissions.
Hosting logs and recovery copies follow the provider’s applicable retention settings. Deleting a record from the active database does not necessarily remove it immediately from recovery copies; those copies expire through the provider’s recovery cycle. Contact us if you need more information about retention of your particular submission.
9. Your choices, access and corrections
You can choose not to submit a form. Required form fields are needed to process that submission; you can still browse and play without completing them.
You may contact us to request access to your personal information, correct it, ask for deletion, withdraw an unpublished story, or raise a privacy concern. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request relates to you. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and arrange a suitable method. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, subject to any legal restriction.
For waitlist emails, use the unsubscribe instructions in the message or contact us to withdraw your interest. Commercial emails must provide a working, free unsubscribe option; requests will be honoured within five working days. Unsubscribing from email does not necessarily erase information required for another lawful purpose.
10. Children and other people’s information
The taster can be used without sharing personal information. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before submitting personal details or a story. Do not include children’s names, school details, photographs, health information or other identifying information about anyone else. Contact us if you believe information has been submitted without appropriate permission.
11. Privacy concerns and policy changes

Please describe your concern and how you would like us to respond. We will review the matter and aim to respond within 30 days, or explain if more time is needed. Where the Australian Privacy Act applies, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This policy does not limit rights you have under applicable law.
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the revised date. Where a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it before using information in that way.
